In her spare time, Kate enjoys windy days at the seaside, junk shops, and eating more pastries than are good for her! Kate lives and works in Hertfordshire, England where she shares her home with her two children, two dogs, and her husband where she continues to create her whimsical designs that bring smiles to so many faces.
INTRODUCING KATE TOmS
Kate has had a passion for creating things all her life. She decided to create her own designs 15 years ago after enjoying making decorations for a PTA program at her daughter’s school. All of her designs are simple and stylized, it doesn’t matter how hard she tries she just can’t get away from big noses and oversized feet! Kate creates simple wooden toys and handcrafted items that derive from years of childhood memories, and all made with love.
Kate Toms is a brilliant author of many fun and quirky picture books that are adored by both children and adults alike. Her books consist of a lovely collection of storybooks with hand-stitched illustrations and charm in rhyming text that are enjoyed by many. Apart from creating children’s books, Kate runs her own business producing and selling decorative items that make people smile!
